Today, hypnotism is practiced as an exact science - not solely an art form. Professional training is provided by Arthur A. Leidecker, an Advanced Certified Instructor with the National Guild of Hypnotists and Neuro-Linguistic Programming Instructor, who also serves on the Illinois Legislative Action Committee for Hypnotherapists. He is the author of From Scratch and on a Shoestring - How absolutely anyone can build an outstanding practice. He has trained psychiatrists, medical doctors, psychologists, counselors, massage therapists, and hypnotherapists as well as laypersons. This course is science and research based to prepare the graduate to work with medical and mental health professionals. However, the material is also suitable for persons interested in the subconscious mind who wish to explore and learn self-hypnosis for personal improvement. All training takes place in our own state-of-the-art facility with ergonomic lighting, multimedia with surround sound system, and electronic air filtration. Requirement for certification with the National Guild of Hypnotists is 100 hours. Established in 1951, it is the oldest and largest organization of its kind, with members across the U.S. and in forty countries. Certification classes include hands-on, practical experience. All classes are intensive, yet fun and informal. Many new friendships always develop in every class. Foundational & Self-Hypnosis Hypnotherapy Certification. Course #101. Tuition includes: full course curriculum as described in the classes section, pendulum, charts, manual, audiocassette, student carrying bag, hands-on hypnosis practice; how to hypnotize with the touch of a finger; Certification of Completion. Tuition $295 early enrollment. Advanced Hypnotherapist Certification. Course #102. Tuition includes: full course curriculum as described in the classes section, manual, audiocassette, hands-on hypnosis practice and Certification of Completion. This course also requires 10 elective credits. Tuition $595 early enrollment. Graduate Certification. Course #103. Learn how to formulate action suggestions including: facilitation, grading, expectancy and developing the 6 criteria for action suggestions; script writing; Image Psychology utilizing color, visual and kinesthetic imagery; rapid and instant inductions; assessment techniques for immediate problem solving; past life regression; "surefire" advertising & marketing instruction to set up your practice; how to get referrals. Tuition includes: full course curriculum as described in the classes section; manual; audiocassette, hands-on practice; completely packaged group programs for: smoking cessation, self-hypnosis, weight loss, and stress management; eligibility for membership in the National Guild of Hypnotists which includes a one-year subscription to both National Guild magazines and your official National Guild of Hypnotists' certificate and eligibility for union membership and benefits in the Hypnotists' Division of the AFL/CIO (Professional hypnotherapy is regulated by the National Federation of Hypnotists AFL/CIO).
