Foundational Hypnotherapy Course Course #101 - - (Earns 24 CEUs)

Introduction to Hypnosis and Overview of the Field: General orientation . . . popular myths and their sources . . . historical roots of hypnosis . . . how hypnosis has helped and is helping various professions in their healing work.

 

Preliminary Suggestibility Tests: The purpose and types (authoritarian and permissive) are discussed and demonstrated. You'll practice conducting each test as well as learn how to achieve "rapport" with a client.

 

Recognition and Classification of Subjects: An in-depth discussion of the qualification of subjects, including common fallacies we encounter, age and occupational suggestibility, and susceptibility of highly impressionable and emotional people.

 

How to Hypnotize: Several classical hypnotic induction procedures are introduced. you'll practice and be critiqued. The basic elements necessary to insure successful inductions every time. Learn how to hypnotize with the touch of a finger.

 

Changing Behaviors Using Posthypnotic Suggestions: Learning to formulate positive suggestions . . . reinforcement and encouragement . . . practical exercises using suggestion formulation techniques . . . defining success . . . caring and empathizing . . . non-therapeutic applications of hypnotherapy. Hypnosis for enhancing memory . . . indirect suggestions . . . indirect hypnosis . . . distraction/confusion method. Practice will include hypnotherapy techniques for smoking cessation, weight loss, and stress reduction. Scripts will be provided to get you started immediately.

 

Depth Stages of Hypnosis: You will be introduced to the two general divisions (amnesic and amnesic) and the six depth stages of hypnosis. The criteria for judging hypnotic depth and suggested sequence of tests to judge depth are discussed and illustrated as well as how to deepen the hypnotic state.

 

Self-Hypnosis Training: You will learn the rationale for using self-hypnosis and how it can positively and powerfully influence all phases of your life. In addition, you will be introduced to the world of "suggestion," and learn six important criteria for formulating action suggestions for yourself and clients as well as ordinary and gradual awakening methods.

 

Hypnotic Miscellany: Mechanical and electronic instrument aids, posthypnotic suggestion, hyperamnesia phenomena, sensory hyperaesthesia. Topics such as negative word traps and unethical posthypnotic suggestions are discussed. An introduction to anesthesia management takes place in this lesson.

 

Your Hypnosis Practice--The Potential It Offers You: The varied possibilities and options open to create your profitable hypnosis practice are explored. This includes how to start, expand, and market your private practice. The methodology and structure of developing a practice and marketing your hypnosis programs to the corporate world. All graduates are offered and encouraged to ask for follow-up assistance and consultation to establish their successful practice.

This course is designed to give you a working understanding of hypnosis. All classes are practical and down-to-earth, concentrating heavily on the how-to-do-it aspects--you are not simply taught all about hypnosis. By means of supervised practice sessions, you will be trained to actually produce the hypnotic state and use it skillfully and effectively. Well thought out, tested-and-true, this course will help you to master your hypnotherapy skills and assure excellent results.

Advanced Hypnotherapist Certification Course #102 - (Earns 24 CEUs)

 
Overview of Course #101: Focusing in-depth on understanding of the principles of hypnotic trances and their integration into techniques and hypnotherapy applications to be mastered in Course #102.

 

How to Give a Lecture Demonstration: You'll receive a complete step-by-step program, and "how to" instruction to formulate a lecture presentation on any topic of your choice. This structure will enable you to quickly and easily prepare a one to two hour lecture by simply blending your information into its ready-to-use format.

 

How to Use Modern Advanced Methods of Induction: Complete training in several rapid inductions that you'll use regularly with confidence and expertise. The mystery of success in rapid inductions is completely mastered through demonstrations, experimentation, and practice. You'll be equipped with sufficient methods and techniques to rapidly induce trance in even the most difficult subject.
