About the Institute

Hypnosis is rapidly becoming the most sought after modality of therapy today, and its rapid growth over the past decade has resulted in a legal definition in the U.S. Department of Labor Directory of Occupational Titles (D.O.T. 079.157.010) Hypno-therapist. "Hypnotherapist--Induces hypnotic state in client to increase motivation or alter behavior pattern through hypnosis. Consults with client to determine the nature of problem. Prepares client to enter hypnotic states by explaining how hypnosis works and what client will experience. Tests subject to determine degrees of physical and emotional suggestibility. Induces hypnotic state in client using individualized methods and techniques of hypnosis based on interpretation of test results and analysis of client's problem. May train client in self-hypnosis conditioning."

The complete program of three courses consists of one hundred hours of intensive training developed and certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH). To best accommodate students, the classes have been developed in three segments: Hypnotherapy Course #101, Advanced Hypnotherapist #102, and Graduate Course #103. These courses can be attended consecutively or separately over a period of time. All classes are conducted by Arthur A. Leidecker, CH, ACI using the NGH developed core-curriculum and teaching materials. All National Guild Certified instructors have completed specialized training and are held to specific performance standards in presenting this material to students. Successful graduates of these classes are eligible to be designated as Certified Hypnotherapists by the National Guild of Hypnotists, the oldest and largest organization of its kind with members across the U.S. and in thirty countries.

Our curriculum is designed to provide a complete practical approach to hypnosis, which enables you to immediately become a practicing hypnotherapist specializing in weight control, smoking cessation, stress management, and a multitude of practical applications of hypnotherapy for individuals and groups. Upon completion of this course of study, as a graduate you will be eligible for membership in the Hypnotherapist Union Local #104, a division of the AFL/CIO.

The courses are designed for those who have a personal interest in hypnosis, want career advancement, or who want to work with people in a private professional practice of their own. It is also suitable for medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, nurses and teachers who want to enhance their skills.

You will learn . . .

	To communicate the scope and theory of hypnosis and its application with Modern Day Behavioral Therapy.
	The structural format necessary to run a successful office practice, including time management training.
	Specific assessment techniques for immediate problem solving.

A three-phase program for attaining a successful career in hypnosis. This includes: How to start and expand an office practice including advertising and marketing. How to market hypnosis expertise to the corporate world--a step-by-step approach on how to offer health, sales enhancement, and motivational training programs.

Assistance, assistance, and even more assistance! We know that without confidence, all of your training is of limited value. We'll focus on building your confidence and you will graduate with confidence. You'll also be entitled to attend two monthly NGH Chapter meetings for ongoing support.

About Art Leidecker

Art Leidecker is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist/Instructor with the National Guild of Hypnotists, a Certified Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Instructor, and President of the International Association of Medical and Therapeutic Specialists. Along with teaching Certification Courses to new hypnotists, he has also trained doctors, psychologists, counselors, and hypnotherapists. He has worked extensively with group workshops in self-esteem, motivation, and weight loss, as well as individual counseling. He has received the National Guild of Hypnotists Instructor of the Year award and the Mid-America Conference Hypnotist of the Year award. He has presented workshops at: the National Guild of Hypnotists, the Mid-America Conference for Hypnotists, the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Convention, and is available for public speaking engagements, corporate programs, and consulting internationally.

Art has studied and researched in: Egypt, China, Turkey, Cypress, Israel, Greece, Europe, Central America, South America, and throughout the U.S. He's been a consultant to Paramount Pictures, MGM Studios, Columbia Pictures, HBO Cannon, and Embassy Pictures. He has appeared on TV and radio and been recognized in Time Magazine. Art's an active presenter for Chicago Marriage Encounter and other spiritually directed organizations. For the past twenty years he has worked with recovering alcoholics and addicts, with couple relationships in a variety of 12-step programs, and cancer patients. He is currently on the Illinois Legislative Committee for Hypnotherapists and a board member for the Mid-America Conference.
